I have Sony branded 1GB M2 for my k800 but need a 2gb one now.
I cant seem to find any Sony branded 2GB ones only sandisk ones. Are they as good?
Ive heard not as good quality wise?
Any help would be much appreciated. |

I've been using a couple of Sandisk 2gb M2, filled to capacity, since they came out and have had no issues

I too use a 2GB Sandisk in my W880. No faults what so ever. Very good, no reason to spend extra on a Sony.

I am using a Sandisk 1GB Card in My K750i and it works perfectly fine , they have probably made them together and probably have the same data inside just like the Sony ones.
I love my K750 ! I love my N73 Music Edition ! I love my Sony Ericsson K810 ! |

Yeah Sandisk probably is Sony's OEM as I am not sure Sony can make flash memory in house. Don't forget Sandisk is one of the creator of flash memory. It annoys me to hear someone doubt genuine Sandisk memory (especially the extreme series one).
You need to find genuine one though as there are many fake Ultra/Extreme series sandisk. However the Sandisk M2 is still the mainstream quality one (no Ultra/Extreme). |

It's NOT an M2 though . . . but with the MSPD, I rely msotly on the performance of the Sandisk brand, than that of Sony . . . as I am seeing LOTS of fake Sony cards at my end too, none so far with Sandisk

I installed a Sandisk 2GB M2 on my K800i yesterday, and it seems to work fine.
First, I backed up everything on my Sony 1GM M2 to my computer using the USB cable, it took about 15-20 minutes, then I instaleld the 2 GB card, and copied everything back from the computer, which also took about 15-20 minutes, maybe a little bit longer, since write access is slower than read access on flash memories. I also thrwe in some more mp3's and pictures on the new card, and I still have plenty of space left. I think 2GB is the maximum limit that K800i can handle. |

Well I think it may handle at least 4GB. Just no M2 card of that capacity yet. |
