Does anyone know what this means? My phone makes a funny noise and chipering switched off appears on the screen while i am talking on the handset. please help the sound is like nino nino twice !

ciphering is used to prevent wiretapping....

most network providers have ciphering on at all time while others has functions in their network that switch ciphering on/off automatically...

it is possible to switch off ciphering so you don't have to hear the noise, but this can only be done by a servicepoint.
