One would be to turn of images when not required. Makes a lot of difference in the speed...ans yes your bills if youre on a data capped plan...

I wont torture my eyes either by looking at a 176*208 screen ..straining to read stuff..
The q was to speedup wap browsing..n there's no other thing which affects wap (plain gprs wap) than turning those (this again is at ur discretion) unwanted images off.
you do hve the option of turning them on so no worries.. also some folks r charged by the kbs so turning on images definitely is not required unless too necessary.
Anyway its unlimited gprs for me here so me personally watch wap pages in their full glory.

keep lots n lots of bookmarks of the pages you visits frequently.(even keep more than one pages of same site: like in Esato login page, posts in last six hours, etc.) if you hav the page save option you can always do that as well. And use history smartly. happy surfing

Best tip is to navigate on mobiles with Opera Mini.
It reduces a lot the weight of webpages, due to Opera servers that make compression before sending you the requested pages

What else do you suggest. What type of content encoding should be selected. I heard that some encoding is the fastest. Would you please guide us. And what about content folding. !

content folding has no relation with content coding. in operamini when you download a page containing large numbers of links, it combines (fold) them so that you can navigate the page more easily. thats it. |
