Ok I noticed alot of issues latley going on about blocked phones and I think its becoming quite bad on this and other forums. I know we already haggle on the price of phones but if £1 is going to save me this hassle I am all for it what do you guys reckon... Should it be made compulsory before we buy or sell a phone on Esato?
This way you provide a certificate to your seller and should anything go wrong ie phone eventually gets blocked then you have a leg to stand on.

Hi themarques
As good an idea as this is unfortunately it will only show the status of the phone on the day it was checked. As has been mentioned in the current thread the phone in question was working in both November and December of last year and is only now showing as blocked. I suppose your point is it would show the phone as not being reported stolen at the time of being bought/sold. This is a big problem but if people are reporting phones stolen some months after having sold them this is Insurance fraud and both the Insurance companies and Police will act it is just one more thing that makes buying and selling phones that bit more difficult unless buying new from recognised retailers with receipts.

Yeah but at least you have a leg to stand on should you wish to approach the Police and report a matter of deception. Because at this moment if you report the matter to the Police, the seller could easily say it was sold knowingly that it was blocked.
But if you sell this item with the certificate saying its not blocked and fully working trust me you have a good leg to stand should you wish to take further action against the seller.
