@machanic,
Dark room magic
With Photo fix, you have that extra, dark room magical touch. Adjust light balance, brightness and contrast in one go and see your good shots turn great.

Is it a Java Application or built into the phone.
I really want it now.

I would say it is software that is built in to the phone accessible in camera mode.
Since the camera is such a important function for this model it has to be a standard feature.
SE are having the possibility of using lots of already developed software from Sony's CyberShot brand and this is probably a software update coming through this channel.

I've got a feeling it will be embedded and not a third party app.
It might work like a trial version of photoshop, allowing you to brighten and sharpen a picture.

Doesnt the K800i already do this (to an extent).
When you edit a photo in PhotoDJ, the first option is "Auto Level" which does exactly that, adjust the histogram to be more "whole" (which altogether affects Brightness, contrast, and in some cames white balance).
hmmm.
Though I would love to create a JAVA program to do somethign similar. And yes, its possible.

the "light balance" part gets me thinking; would Photo fix let you adjust the white balancing in a more fine-tuned way than the current PhotoDJ's "Auto level", like apply a daylight on a slightly underexposed picture? that'd be neat

Does the K800 have track ID and photofix?
I thought they were only on the K810.
My K790a sure doesn't have these features.

for my k800i, mine doesnt have a PLAY NOW icon, it replaced by the sony ericsson wap page. does it means my phone software is old? |

Not necessarily. Playnow has been round for a while. I'm not sure now whether Playnow 3.0 will be introduced across the board and the old version withdrawn.
