Is my phone dead or the charger? |

Hey guys
I bought a k600i online and it doesnt work...The phone is new though, I think it might be the charger, on the charger it says T610 and when I plug it into the wall the green light lights up on the charger but nothing on the phone...The phone is showing no signs of life lol
Do you think the charger should work and the phone is messed up or do you think the phone is fine but the chatger is not good with this phone?
Thanks |

Welcome to Esato.
It could be either really. You could try charging another phone with the charger.

Take it to a phone shop and ask them to try.

@artek - With your LAST post it LOOKS like it's the celfone and NOT the charger . . . though you have ONE more THING here that you did NOT bother looking at dude . . . perhaps it's the BATTERY . . . better have it SEEN in an authorized center . . . Welcome to Esato and Good Luck !

Try to check @ SE website and find some compatibility chargers with the phones. |

That sounds like a non-genuine charger, I have a distrust of non-gen ones, could be that that's playing up! The T610 has the same port, so there shouldn't be any compatability issues, I've used the same charger to charge a T68i, T610, K600i, K700i with no problems.
Could also be the battery that's faulty, if you know someone with the same battery try their battery in the phone.
Is the phone actually brand new, or has someone just put a new facia and chassis on the phone? It seems odd that a 'new' phone would be shipped with a non-genuine charger.

On the charger issue I wish they could use the old Ericsson gh688/ sh888 type charger where the charger itself lights up when plugged in and switched on to denote that it is working.

Just because a charger has the same connector to the phone, doesn't mean that their compatible. My K700i charger would plug in to my V800 and would charge but not enough to work properly. The two phones had the same voltage but different current requirements.
Check the website for listings of the correct charger for your phone. Personally, I don't trust non-genuine chargers.

another problem w/ the (old) charger ports is that they're very unstable and very loose. it's frustrating that when i charge my phone and leave it for about two hours just to find out that it hasn't charged, and needs to be forced inward to make contact.
what's erom btw?

Don't buy any charger with lid light thats not genuine. It cause your battery life in shorter term. |
