For those of you hesitating on buying this headset, I got it today and it is perfect! I have the P990i and it is a nuisance to use it to listen to music with the flip on it, and this headset facilitates it all!

having used one for a few months I agree. I use mine in the office (got it on now!), in the car, on the train.

I would like to be able to use it in flight but of course flight mode turns off bluetooth which I alwasy that was crazy given the very short range of bluetooth

battery life is a bit disappointing - I never get more than 5 hours (spec is up to 6) which is just OK for a comute and lunch but not for a day out and it is pain having to remmeber to charge every night

but the size and style is great - they are very comfortable to wear for hours and the controls are easy to use

I am considering something like the Nokia BH501 or the Motorola HT850 - 10 hours of battery but full headphone style, not earbuds, so may not be as comfortable - and very big to carry around when not wearing!

Can't select FM/radio with K800. Voice dial is not 100% working. Initially, I bought it because I wanted to listen to music and FM with my K800. Except for music streaming quality which now I don't use it since getting my NW-S706F, I use as my handsfree set.

Also got few bugs like the recording of conversation somehow becomes noisy after about three minutes and call waitng feature sometimes causes loud noise to the second caller.

For music streaming only..yes recommended but then NW series is so much better and now I carry both (with wires around my neck much to the amusement of onlookers).

Cheers!

Just wonder, when you receive/make call do the sound comes in both earpieces or just one of them.

All of you bought this from authorised SE shop isn't it? Bit worry about all those fake headset.

Yes you get sound from both ear buds (K800i). And I don't't think DS970 is so hot that there are fakes floating around. As most of Sony's great products , this one ,too soon to be phased out. In fact Mlaysia website doesn't carry this item anymore.

Got mine from Expansys yersterday. Royal Mail delivered as per their homepage info....

Charged it up for 8 hours then all was easy! Very pleased,,,

Sometimes though I get a crackle noise and the music skips... not sure why, but I will monitor it and see what happens.

I have a Sony VAIO with bluetooth. English model number is TX2HP but mine is the Japanese model.

I know how to pair bluetooth devices but is there other things I have to do to make the music transfer from the VAIO to the headset?

edit - I have asked the question here...

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=137633&start=15

so if you have a solution, can you post in that thread please?
