NOTE: If the provided features of a particular phone, captures your interest, then please check with the corresponding manufacturer's website for accurate & complete specs.

Here's a list of handsets commonly available in India, sorted according to their price. I've selected a best buy handset, with best features, for a certain price range. It's not necessary that it'd be the perfect choice for you, or that they'd satisfy all your needs. So its upto you to carefully select a handset that meets all your day to day requirements.
Also, certain datas might be missing or even incorrect. So please check and confirm the price and features of these handsets, yourself before buying them.
If there's any change in the shown price or features of any of the listed handsets then please post in the details. Also if you'd like to recommend a different model for a specific price, please do so. I shall update the changes frequently.
The entries with ** are soon to be released models & the price is expected price. And finally, don't leave out the OTHER NOTABLES & LOW COST EDGE PHONES, as you may find a suitable option from there too!

@ ajeetpv

Sorry dat i left out k790i. I'v added it to the main list. And k750i, is for those who need a better camera than Nokia 5300/6131. So I'v added it as an alternative to Nokia 5300.

Well K510 wud b priced around Rs.6500 & its keypad is lit orangish. I'm not aware of any recent price drops...

K600 is actually a withdrawn model & so I don know the price of remainin pieces, if any.

K750 is priced Rs.10500...

Thanks ali_baba

I usually see prices at www.univercell.in , www.indiagsm.com , www.futurebazaar.com

From what I saw in some video reviews of k510 the backlight seemed green ..and how would you compare it to Samsung X630

Well both are very comparable...

If data connectivity is ur main intention, ie: if u need EDGE, go 4 X630

But if u need gud cam, better SW suport & better talk-time go for SE

Quite easy, Eh?

Well... my personal suggestion. Instead of goin 4 any of thos handsets its better to hunt 4 a 2nd hand Nok 6630.

u may hav to spend a 1000 mor. but its worth it...

Btw the K510i's keypad had green LEDs, the one I have has anyways, not sure if it's any different for the phones in the Indian market
