Video at qvga (3gp) looks pretty fluid, but not sure it's 30fps. No info on graphics accelerator. Deuxani's PS is 95% accurate.
I don't have any info on Maria. I'm only interested in SE smartphones. |

It's a more polished and updated version of the P990 in a M600i formfactor:
- Excelent music quality (no more static!)
- More megapixels cam (subjective: pretty decent photo's)
- Better WiFi b&g
- Dimensions exactly the same of M600i, only 1-2mm thicker
- Very solid build
- Some usefull sw enhancements
- Most importantly: 166MB internal memory. +/-78MB free at startup. I find it difficult to get under 50MB of free memory when running all the apps I want.
That's a huge change compared to the meager 20MB of free memory on a P990 or M600i without running any applications.
Its a convergence (P990 -> M600i formfactor) + evolutionary (P990i+) device. |

Unlikely to have HSDPA and EDGE! Exactly why should this be above or better than the current p990i? I can forgive the omission of EDGE but HSDPA NEVER! This is a P series for crying out loud so let it be damn good! I hope the final product will have it. |

If its really true with 166mb ram than it'll be awesome...thats even more than nokia n90

Yes, that's exactly what I mean: halos on the left side of pictures taking up quite some space when using the flash in dark places.

Ah, sorry, thanks for clearing up the fact that Maria is a smartphone as well. I was confused with Sofia.
All I have access to is (info on) the Pxxxi (supposed to be the Elena). Sorry, but I haven't got any info on Maria or Sofia

The cam on the prototype isn't up to the level of the K800i/K810i.
More noise, less sharpness and colors not as natural (reddish or blueish hue) .
There could be some improvement once the hard- and software are finalized, but in the past there wasn't much improvement in picture quality between SE test-samples and the finalized commercial handsets.
But it's still a nice feature though. |
