Hi all, as some of you may know the A-ZoTT is going to be changing.
In case you didn't see it yet here is the announcement:

-Big changes ahead for the new year!
I am proud to announce that there will be some BIG changes to the A-ZoTT coming very soon!
These will involve the current lists on se-nse and esato being combined into one central A-Z of Trusted traders.
Furthermore I am excited to announce that there will be a new partner added to the Trusted Traders family as the central A-Z will also accomodate feedback from the soon to be opened market at mobile-review.com
There is still much work to be done to achieve this and until then the current A-Z's will operate as normal while feedback from M-R will be added to the list held at se-nse.com.
As usual all comments and suggestions are more than welcome so please don't hesitate to contact me
Thanks to all,
Mik

Just thought I'd make this thread to hopefully give people the chance to comment, ask questions and give their opinions and suggestions without cluttering up the A-ZoTT thread.
Cheers,
Mik

Sounds like a great idea to me, combining the SE-NSE and Esato trusted traders threads, as well as M-R's when they're up and running with their sales section, shows you at a glance who is trustworthy especially if someone has a lot of trades on one site but not one of the others.

I'm thinking of using the basic layout of the se-nse list to begin with at least. I want it to be operational and smooth before considering changing more
The main structure of the username with Refs below will be as usual.
That will mean it will have:
-A-Z of Trusted Traders section (positive feedback)
-A-Z of Distrusted Traders (negative feedback)
-A-Z of Timewasting Traders (timewaster feedback, not quite worth a negative)
-A News section of course
-Trader Tags for your user profile awarded for score rankings (these are supported by se-nse and M-R)
As I mentioned the basic layout of feedback will be the same:
Trader (No. of +ve Refs, No. of -ve Refs)
Referee, Date posted
but I also plan to add tags such as [s], [e] & [m] to show which forum(s) a user is active in.
I am unsure whether it is necessary to show which forums the feedback was posted on and if so how it would be best shown.
My thoughts are to either list feedback from each site separately under the username or list all feedback together but with a marker similar to above next to each one.
I'd like people comments about this in particular
You will still post your feedback in the existing A-ZoTT threads as normal, only the list will be moved. This is to avoid problems of login or registering to be able to post on a central thread elsewhere etc
Cheers,
Mik

Does Esato support the 'silver trader', 'gold trader' etc. tag system like on Se-nse?
Could do with one central area where feedbacks could be read by someone whose a member of any one of the fourms but not necessarily all of them - e.g. I'm not a member of M-R's forums, for example.
Though we're into the realms of it having it's own website, which I imagine has it's own complications and costs.

@Sam
The idea is to eventually host the list on its own website.

No, I don't believe esato will be supporting the trader profile tags.
Yes the list will be central and able to be read by anyone regardless of site membership.
Any other questions or comments?

Oh yes....of course! Both current lists will be combined into one.
It would be quite ridiculous to wipe everything clean and start again

I would like peoples comments regarding these layout ideas:
The three sites will be represented by the tags esato=[e], M-R=[m] and se-nse=[s]
These will be displayed next to the traders username to show which sites they are active on.
The difficulty though is how to display which site their references were posted from.
The first option is to list refs from each site separately:
Username (+4, -0) [e] [m] [s]
[esato]
User 1, 01-02-03
User 2, 01-02-03
[se-nse]
User 1, 02-02-03
User 3, 01-02-03
[m-r]
User 4, 01-02-03, 02-02-03, 03-02-03
This is perhaps the easiest to read but may cause a little confusion when the same user posts a reference on more than one site e.g User 1. There are now 5 names listed but the feedback score remains at +4.
The second option is to add the small marker next to each reference:
Username (+4, -0) [e] [m] [s]
User 1, 01-02-03 [e], 02-02-03 [s]
User 2, 01-02-03 [e]
User 3, 01-02-03 [s]
User 4, 01-02-03 [m], 02-02-03 [m], 03-02-03 [m]
This makes it simpler in that all references from User 1 are together regardless of where they were posted and so the number of names matches the feedback score.
However it will look a little more untidy, especially when we have a large number of references posted and of course means I have to type more
The third option is to not show which site the references came from at all and only show which sites the trader is active on:
Username (+4, -0) [e] [m] [s]
User 1, 01-02-03, 02-02-03
User 2, 01-02-03
User 3, 01-02-03
User 4, 01-02-03, 02-02-03, 03-02-03
This makes the list neater and less confusing to new users andalso makes it more universal.
However this will make it much more difficult for anyone who wants to try and find the reference posts to read the comment as they will not know which site to look on.
Alternatively I am open to any different suggestions

i personally dont think it matters where the +ve or -ve's have come from..
if i know (a) has +ve x 35 i know i should be pretty safe!
so i think your last option is best:
fatreg +3 [e] (<-- im hardcore! can only do one site!!)
wifey 01/01/01
paterkay 01/01/01
masseur 01/01/01
that looks to be the bestest option for me..
but i cant possibly comment for god knows how many users...

Thanks for your comment fatreg much appreciated
The last option would certainly be the simplest and easiest for me though I know there are people who do like to look at the comments. Also this may be more applicable when looking at a trader with a low feedback score, a large score would speak for itself but a low score may not.
Everyones opinion counts so please speak up if you agree or disagree

but we all start somewhere..
i once had a low score even now its only at like 36.
but yeah i see what you mean. and i dont mean to be rude here and im sorry if i offend any users but if your dealing with a person with say +2 you know your taking a risk, and if thats a risk your willing to take then cool.
easy work is the best work Mik!

Thanks again
Of course dealing with people who have low scores does carry more risk but that makes it all the more important for people to be able to check the comments for those people
At the moment I think I am edging towards option 1. Also if I initially keep them separate I can easily remove the divides later but if I combine them now it will be much harder to split them again should I change my mind
Any more comments? I would really like to hear from some of the big traders around here

Just thought I'd paste a post here from M-R as it does raise a good point
Yeah, It's really Confusing at first. But when actually look at it, it's pretty straight forward. i like the Third Option more because of it's simplicity. and the first option for its way of origination.
I have a question too, What if you have 2 different User names in each site?
The third option is the exact layout of the se-nse and esato threads but I think it is necessary to include the ability to trace them to each site now that the list will be made universal.
As for different names on different sites, I have considered it and by default I will add the names to the list as separate users. They can be combined by request and I will give the user a secret word which is simply relayed to me on the other forum to prove that they are the same user and not just trying to attach themselves to someones existing reputation
Hope that makes sense
