Hello all!
Today I found a very strange problem with my p990. I tried to charge the battery of it with car charger, but no luck. Then I used a normal charger with 220 V - again no luck. I only can charge it when it is connected with my computer. Strange.... What you suggest me ?
Thank you in advance

I'd suggest u make a reset (holding the on/off button for 10 sec) after that remove the battery for a minute, then put it in again and try if it works.
I have not been affected by this problem but this is what I would try to solve it.
Hope it helps!

OK m8, hope they'll fix your phone very fast, it is not that fun to be without it, especially when it is rather new.
Good luck with it!

Take a Q-tip and alcohol and clean the contact on the outside and inside of the phone. Let dry, then reassemble and try again.

I had the same problem with my first 990i, and had to turn it in and get a new one.
My analysis: The golden contacts on the phone were placed slightly to deep for the spring-suspended contacts in the cradle/cable/usb-cable. My shop agreed after I showed them! This also applied to the earphones. This was first week after purchase mid authumn.
Now I have been happy with the replacement until a few days ago: presently only the charger-cable provide contact and charging, the other two (usb and cradle) demand me applying pressure to force the phone closer to the contact. Result is complete failure to charge for these devices.
Analysis II: this is not quality from SE - it's crap!
I will have to go se my supplyer and make him replace if necessary.
