yeah right, it is true, nothing like the nokia 6233
it is terrible
but if you use it as a walkman it is fine, but in my sad opinion, worse than w850
how can I improve the quality of the sound?????
I expected something better, to be honest
I have already bought a 2gb micro m stick so I would like to have a better sound

@j_c: sound would be better on a w610 as it isn't as thick as the w880.

I mean through the headphones, I already hve the cube mini speakers.I want a good sound with headphones
I love the mobile phone!
But....it does not sound as I expected
so maybe it is due to the headphones.

I rate the W880i higher than the W850i but lower than the W950i.
With a good headset you will really enjoy the phone anyway. I have noticed that Sennheiser + Walkman = Quality sound.
Compared to f. ex: E2C and Sony.
But again the perception of soundquality is subjective. It all depends on your ear and what kind of music you prefer. |

Still thinkin' that W880 is better than W850. Even listening to classical music usin' Bluetooth Stereo Set.

Yeah, I'm planning on getting some sennheisers, but isn't the cord too long. I mean, you have to plug it into the adapter first, which further enlengths the cord...
PS: Is the bluetooth headset of SE any good? It looks quiet cool.
Question:
Is there some way that I can get Simplified + Normal Chinese character support for my mp3s? |

I asked if it has one, didn't say that anybody said it had one.
Anyway, I hear a hissing/sissing sound with mine, you can hear it if you play a music file then turn off the sound[lowest volume lvl...aka zero "circles"] and this is also the case between two songs...is this normal?
In other words, do you co-owners of the w880 have the same experience? |

Has anyone figured out how to change the cover yet? Figures I would drop my phone after a week and scratch it up. |

I have this hissing issue on my W850i most of the time. However, I've recently found that turning off Stereo Widening in Walkmen settings considerably reduces the hiss. I would also recommend Sennheiser PMX 100 headphones (clip, behind-the-head), brilliant natural sound, no noise cancellation though. But since they are not earbuds, the hiss is not audible.
Sadly, the hiss saga seems to be continuing on some of the latest handsets as well....
Cheers! |
