little bit pk....dont like shabby boxes, although you dont use them
i just want to see where is going with their boxes....they've gone a long way since the k750 days with those ugly plain boxes, now with the k800/m600i etc boxes...just want to see if its the same style or a completely new design....

Hope its not the plastic see-thru boxes, like they used on the W800i.
I hate that packaging.

@pk
i liked that whole idea, but it was hard to put things back in that was the downside for me....

Yep that was the problem Jedi, when i wanted to sell the phone it was difficult putting it back together.

I'm off to belfast today and tomorrow, but will try and put some pics of the box and phone when I get back for whoever wants it. Bottomline though the packaging was rather simple, mem card was already in the phone, all I had to do was put in sim and the battery. Other things in the box included data cable, charger, cdrom, and manuals (in french, spanish, and italian, no english?!?!)
Box design similar to w950 except colour is gray and there's a true to scale pic of the w880i on the front viewed from side view.
Sorry for late posting, I just registered yesterday and can't post more than 3 msgs on the first day. |

Still not as slim as a Samsung P310 though. Although it is a better phone.

No EDGE, no HSDPA, only tri-band.
Bummer! I really really wanted this phone, but the lack of EDGE is a killer for me (no 3G network in my location).
Edit: The W888c may work for me. SE says at http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]1_1&zone=pc&lm=pc3_1&prid=7121 that:
"The W888 WalkmanŽ phone is a GSM variant, minus the video telephony functionality, intended specifically for China where 3G services are not established."
Hope this one will be available in India too.

Seriously, what's the point of a QVGA resolution when you only fit it in a 1.8" screen? |
