Finally, the video player don't crashes if I want to view the videos information, and there is much more free memory.

Actually "Regional and Language Options" in Windows XP control panel. That solved my problem anyway. |

I don't know what the problem with SEUS. I tried once, and updated successfully. I'm live in Hungary.

I tried changing regional settings also but still no luck. Can anyone please post changes like whats there in new firmware. I just want to now whether the sound of music player has been enhanced or no. |

The sound and the volume is still the same for me, the changes i noticed that i have more than 17mb phone memory, and the whole system is mouch more stable. The new language selector in walkman player.

if the sound is same i do not wish to update the firmware neither want to wait for it. Thx buddy for informing. My phone is very stable with current firmware so i dont think any change is required. Was just concerned about 2 things
1. Touchscreen dialing which is there in P990i and all touchscreen phones in this world except W950i
2. Being a walkman player of 4gb the sound quality should have been amazing but its not with compared to ipod its horrible. The full volume of W950i is just 40% in ipod so one can imagine what could be 100% in ipod.
i simply use my phone as a USB hard disk to transfer data but do not prefer to listen to music since i listen to trance music and the beats sound only good when they hit your ear loud and clear.
so all trance lovers out there never go for this phone it will highly disappoint you in each way. |

Something must be seriously wrong with your W950 as mine sounds absolutely outstanding. I have two iPods and my W950 paired up with the DS970's blows them both away for sure. |

Im disappoint too with w950 as mp3 player! They have several software mistakes and i hope on new firmware to solve this (one is solve language in walkman player but click between songs,stupid tag update and organize songs/albums,non preset EQ , volume if does be higher....etc)
DS970 have own amplifier and they are probably loudest than W950 (i think i dont have/taste) but i have that in-ear phones which are much better (loudest and high tones clearest) than that you have got (hpm-82) with w950, but, but compare amplifier to my iAudio U2 (2x13mw) w950 make me be sad why im buy it (my rating is 2x 8mw+- like cheap mp3 player).
Sound quality is good, some software problems LCGJukebox audio player solve, but volume (i hope that have some trick to boost volume) is disappoint even and speakerfon is low, cheapest SE phone have loudest sound! |

Officemaven hav u had any probs wth your w950i connected to a ds970?
my prob is when a call comes in the ds970 freezes and I hav 2 connect the charger to it to un freeze it, tried everything including adjusting the multi device switch, but it works fine on a friend's w850i.
I don't know if a firmware update will fix it or not. |

I have had no problems with my connection, even when I receive calls the call just kicks in and when the call is finished there is approx 2 sec delay and then the music kicks back in.
Absolutely no issues with mine at all so it is a software issue on the phone that is causing the probs you are having. Debranding/Flash Updating should solve this issue for you.

I tried updating firmware on seus but says no update available, is there any other way to either update or reinstall the firmware.

the only way to update the firmware without seus is to use a 3rd party company or buy the tools yourself. The usual cost of sending it to someone like us is approx £18.
The big thing that happens that way is you can change the cda at the same time so that you could then use seus to update whenever there was a new update.
This is assuming you have branded software. What is the software version of your phone?? Where did you get it from??

I too have no problems whatsoever with my DS970's. They work great! One thing to note is that there appears to be lots of fake copies of the DS970's being sold that work (and sound) very poorly. Thus, I'd make sure that you have a legitimate SE built unit. I've been reading some threads (either here or over on HowardForums) that talk at great length about how to tell if you have a fake set or not. If you need, I can track down the links for you. |
