W950i user! This firmware is out in all authorized SE Service Center.
Sony Ericsson Update Services should be in a week time.

Ph: R9EA001 Bt: R3A01 Org: R4A11 Cda: R4A07

Just updated mine today and you guys will get the same add-on as per M600i. Fyi, mine is Generic World 2.

Critical Points:
1. Speaker function available while dialing.
2. Languange function available in Walkman's "Settings". Very usefull if the songs consist of other language especially chinese characters. It can show proper wording instead of "squares of unknown characters".
3. Bluetooth connection is stablized.

THose who have this updates, do share if discover additional fixes or bugs (hope not).

Hi!

I use a Japanese localiser

http://shop.psiloc.com/en/App[....]262268,Psiloc+Crystal+Japanese

with my W950i and can input Japanese into email, address infomation etc etc...

but the singers names and titles do not show in the Walkman player. Why would this be ?

" 2. Languange function available in Walkman's "Settings". Very usefull if the songs consist of other language especially chinese characters. It can show proper wording instead of "squares of unknown characters". "

So this should work on a UK W950i if I add Japanese songs ? I am hoping so!

Ofiaich !!

Re. point 2, my current f/w already has this option and it's certainly not the most current (or the stated updated) f/w version. Using unbranded Singapore W950i, Org: CXC162103 R1B03 (!); CDA: CDA162014/8 R1B01 (!)

Onscreen speakerphone option during call is not available though. Neither is BT A2DP without line-of-sight (frequent dropped connections).

In firmware R9EA, the speaker function while dialing is a definite thingy.
Whereas reg the language selection in Walkman "Setting", I'm not sure whether it is the same for branded and unbranded, my guess should be the same and it's just the matter of time SE release it.

So far no problem using ActiveSync, IM+, PDF+,QuickOffice AND Pool.
SkyForce still got the problem crashing due to the KERN-EXE which according to iDreams there will be an updates soon in the newer version.

this is good news, the whole issue with having to wait till the call was answered, then go into the menu, select speaker... was really starting to grate on me.

i am assuming that it will also get rid of the dammed vodafone startup screen?

one more thing, i dropped mine last week, and am sending it off via insurance to get screen replaced. if i flash it, is there a chance that the insurance will be affected? im hoping not, as it is via official SEUS but if anyone can answer i would be grateful.

Vodafone startup gone after flashing? I don't think so coz this is under Vodafone's customized flash.

Regarding the insurance, I believe it'll not affected coz you are only flashing the firmware and none on your hardware.
