hey there guys...i've been following this great forum (which has been very helpful for me) for quite a while now but just registered as a member recently. i'm having a cda/5 p990 with an r7 firmware as the r9 has not been released for cda/5 yet (and i check EVERYDAY). and as posted by makbil, it seems that it's gonna be a while until i can get the r9. hence there's no point of me waiting for it anymore. so my question is, is it possible to change the cda version from a cda/5 to a world generic one using kulankendi?

thanx in advance...

Here is something i have just thought about.

I am sure there are a lot of SE staff that own a P990i. When they work/play with their phone and it doesn`t work the way it should.. do they get mad? Do they speak to someone about it? Dont they want their phones to work like they should?

I talked with SE support today. Basically it was unrelated to the P990, the update program refuses to see my P900. Anyway, at the end I asked whether any fw updates might be coming soon. They don't expect the next fw to be out in the near future. Soonest we should expect is probably beginning of summer. Which translated might mean...sometime in 2007 ???

thatīs not what what i hear from my sources...i would actually be surprised if it took has long has the latest (3 months)

I hope you are right Ares. Come to think of it, I wonder how many of SE employees that do have the P990 are using SM Pro?
Wouldn't it be interesting to know?
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD
