Organizer number of the new test version is R5A09...we now have R4A14 and before it was R3B01 and R2A something
So, i really can´t see how you can tell it is minor...beware that phone firmware (r9, r7, etc), is really unimportant, its the organizer firmware that counts

Since I upgraded to R9 I can not make video calls. The screen gets stuck in 3 seconds. I have R9EA001 and organizer R4A13 and it tells me that i have the latest software. Does anybody know what I should do? |

not always, there were examples of people with r7 and r2a organizer, and this test version is another example, but the main thing to look is the organizer version, always - that is why language files at SE site are organized specificaly by organizer version and not phone version |

You can't get R5 at this point. It's only for developers... Just like R4 was around for a month or so before you could get it. |

I talked with SE support today. Basically it was unrelated to the P990, the update program refuses to see my P900. Anyway, at the end I asked whether any fw updates might be coming soon. They don't expect the next fw to be out in the near future. Soonest we should expect is probably beginning of summer. Which translated might mean...sometime in 2007 ???
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace  So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

I seriously hope this is not true! I think SE should make a new FW based on some "tweak peaks + swiss mngr." inventions like. If a program like TP can make P990 faster how come can`t SE make it?
