@shali - Looks like the Chinese who are here at my END are faked by their BELIEF that their lucky number is - 8

By the way I got the word: FENG SHUI spelled wrongly with my first post . . . sorry. [addsig]

But I do know that 9 is more lucky. For example when I visited China to see the a place called Tian Tan, there was a monument which had its steps arranged in croups of nine.

Speaking about buildings, the number eight (being lucky as well) influenced the number of floors for this building, because the builder wanted a lucky number for the amount of storeys, and 88 was chosen:

@shali - See . . . 8 is their (Chinese) lucky number too. Though I am certain that the LUCKY color in Chinese is - RED! As it is a sign for: Health, Wealth and Fortune . . . [addsig]

Right again Red represents luck and prosperity in China. Thats why a lot of products tend to be red. Red lanterns, red ornaments etc.

people who consider 13 unlucky are even wary of 31 as it is 13 the other way round.
tetraphobia or the chinese fear of the # 4 is co-related to the fear of the # 13 as 1 + 3 = 4. [addsig]
