You can do it in M3

Put your DVD in the drive
Open M3
Select Add DVD title - give movie title as you want it on file
Select Phone type
Click BIG button 'Convert Files'

Sorry if I've missed a prompt or 2 it's really pretty easy - I use the UIQ3Safe option - on 'Smaller files' setting a 150 min DVD came up with ~ 440 MB file size - taking the video bitrate down to ~ 160 gave a filesize of 257 MB which plays happilly on the phone as a one piece movie rather than having to break it up into 60 min chunks...

Does anyone know of any Mac solutions for converting as I believe M3 is Windows only. Toast possibly, or...?

Yes, this is the latest. The developer has stopped working on the program. Unfortunately

Ok.. Thanks.. I tested it on a few wmv and mpeg-files and 4 out of 5 worked. The 5th one just didn't started. It was a mpeg... but 2 of the other files where also mpeg. Strange...

You can use handbrake to convert files on the Mac. Its the same concept as M3. If you are a true geek, you could do it from the command line using mplayer
