I get Error 0x7370C09 when using activesync

I have just got my P990 on O2 and the first thing i did was install Dataviz Activesync. It seemed to work over Wifi in the office and at home, but it just will not work over GPRS.

I have been using Push email on my XDA Mini S for the last 9 months on this server so there is no reason to believe that the server is at fault.

Does anyone have any ideas? Otherwise the phone will have to go back and i will get the XDA Zinc when it comes out (Jan 15th but we all know about O2 and release dates!)

Mmm that might be to do with the certificates, I think you need to install it. Try and also test it without security enabled.

I have to say the activesync for UIQ3 has a long way to go before it gets to WM5 status.....

don't think it has to do with the certificate, cause it works over wifi. have you made GPRS your top connection piority? it won't work over wap.

Yeah, i have made it the defualt connection for the dataviz program. In advanced and in connection settings, then i select mobile web. I know the gprs works because i downloaded the dataviz prog through it.

Thanks for the help guys, still no joy

are you on pay as you go?

O2 do not offer full feature of GPRS on P&G.

for example, i never got agile messenger to work on O2 P&G but it worked on contract! and also on Orange P&G SIMs.

or am i completely goin the wrong direction here... LOL

Have you tried with another network sim card? Also disable the proxy settings on your gprs and see if that makes a difference,

Hi guys,

I am on O2 Pre Pay so there should be no problem there.
I have also tried it with and without the proxy on, and nothing changed.

Still struggling, but i am about to read that link above

Ok, I have worked out a solution. If I take the phone out of my pocket. Put it back in its box and then send it back to O2 I have solved my problem.

Looks like it is back to my XDA Mini S until the XDA Zinc comes out. I used the think MS phones were a comprimise, but now i realise just how well designed they are given how many things they do.

NB (I had the P800, P900 and P910 so it is not like i am not used to these phones)

If you havent sent the phone back there might be another solution to try with your phone. I noticed that Seven Always On email has support for the p990 and M600. Its similar to activesync I cant test it out as I have a W950 and its asking me to update my firmware. So give that a go before you give up complete hope.

I will say Dataviz product (activesync) is not really up to scratch.

i just resolved a similar prob...

i was able to sync my p990i over dataviz activesync over wifi but not o2 gprs...i called them and insisted they give me the o2 MOBILE WEB settings, set that connection with the highest priority and soft reboot the phone - now my activesync works!!!!!!!!!!!!!

push emails finally in business on a sony ericsson phone after all these years...almost gave up due to o2 piss poor customer service i regret having had to bully the tech guy as he just kept telling me active sync wasn't supported.

good luck!
