I've been tyring to flash the firmware onto my K800i today and I've been having a few issues.

I've checked my log-in credentials and they confirm that I have 4 credits on my account.

I START the procedure as usual (first time it said I had an old EROM, so suggested I update, which I did). Next connection started off as expected, I opted for the R1GE001 firmware, GENERIC UK[EUROPE_2] and continued.

Now this is where it went pear-shaped... it just stopped somewhere around the CSLOADER part (displayed 'writing block 4/4' above the progress bar). Stayed like this for at least 10 minutes, so I killed the app in Task Manager.

I unplugged and restarted the client to attempt another update. This time round, the client stopped at the CSLOADER:OK part of the update. Opted to start again!

Then when I plug in my K800i in (after starting the client), it showed PHONE FOUND, but did nothing. I left it connected for at least 5 mins. Eventually I disconnected the handset and the message UNSUPPORTED DB:0x3F 0x00 was shown.

Attempting to update via SEUS did not help, it said it was unable to recognise the handset.

Removed the battery for a few minutes and attempted to flaash again with WotanClient. Selected the same options and it's all gone well, until the CSLOADER: login OK (writing block 4/4) part where it appears to have stopped again. It has been 'stuck' at this part for at least 20 minutes.

I'm about to go out and I'm tempted to leave the handset connected to see if it completes.

In the meantime. does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do?

Thanks everyone.

Marc

Any advice would be a great help.

Ended up buying a credit for DaVinci Team and finalizing with their client.

I did open a ticket... but wanted to resolve the issue quickly.

It'llbe good to know any info (from them) if it ever happens again. I've been recommending Wotan to firends and colleagues, so hopefully that will continue!

OK, sorted it with DVT, but, now the phone will randomly turn itself off when it is in standby, just take it out of my pocket and its off, does yours do anything similar? I have heard of this from one of my friends, not sure what version of software he has though, how frustrating, the orange software worked perfectly!!!
