I see, and I thought they were just a gimmick to show off your money.
I don't want a signature anymore.

I remember one time when I saw this guy in a telecom shop near me selling his Vertu fone . . . I was really to know how expensive it was (could already buy me 3-4 hi end units at that) . . . then the guy told me that one of the benefits that you can get when buying a Vertu-branded fone is that it has a FREE limousine-pick-up-service once a month when you are in London . . . is this TRUE [addsig]

Hi Jojo,
Not sure about the free Limo service but you do get a 24hr concierge service that can get you tables at fully booked top restaurants, theatre tickets etc etc. Of course besides these services the other thing that makes them so expensive is the the same thing as all products there markup and profit.

@dogmann - Thanks for the explanation mate . . . so, it's a resto-reservation-service and NOT a LIMO one Well, whatever it is . . . it's still expenisve for a fone dude ! [addsig]

Interesting information - never belived that the Vertu's beauty is more than skin deep. Now I know......Anyone willing to swap one for a K750?

Maybe not - The Vertu still lacks what the K750's got, I love my K750!!!

Vertu's are considerably heavier than our regular handsets,you have to bear in mind that most normal phones are made of mostly plastics where as Vertu is mostly metal with many more parts. [addsig]

I was just wondering the weight after looking at the parts they use!
I saw one in Dubai a few years back.

My local shopping centre has a Vertu dealer so i've played around with them on a few occassions,pretending to be a potential customer.

I am a big fan of high end phones such as this and i will proberbly get one at some point,when i have the spare £3000+ to blow on a phone.

I just hope before that launches a high end range such as the Vertu!

All very impressive, but I still wouldn't blow all that money on that thing! I'd rather have a feature-rich 'plastic' phone and buy a half-decent car or put a deposit down on one with the rest that buy one of those things!

Or buy a top of the range HD plasma TV, damned fine hi-fi, or one hell of a PC with the extra 2-3 grand I'd save buy buying a W950i or a P990i or a K800i instead of a Vertu!
