Just had a good thought. What about the Z520? Very good keys, and the screen is decent enough.

When I was checking out low-end phones recently for my son we shortlisted the W300 and J230i. Both really good (basic) phones. Ended up getting a 2nd hand S700 because of the MP3, radio and exp. memory.

This time last year I got my mum a 2nd hand Z600 and DSS-20 to replace her Alcatel One Touch Easy (circa 2000). She got the hang of it after about 6 weeks... I put some cool themes and wallpapers on too!

Thanks guys. I took my mum to look at my shortlist and she likes the W300I!!!! That surprised me. It's not too expensive either, in fact I thought it was craking value for money so I've sold this one.

I've got another question though for me which I may make a new post for. But I want to know if the P990I is worth it? I've been thinking about upgrading to it for a while but it hasn't got rave reviews mainly due to the software and the thousand and one ways of doing the same thing on it. I am very tempted cause of the camera and would use it to remind me of stuff and for lists.
But are SE getting their with the software yet?

An option might be the K700i, which can now be obtained for a low price and you get a great value. Also to consider the K510, lower price than the K310 and it has a great screen.

@apolloa - The P990 is really nice, specially now that the $$$ has already dropped compared to it's INITIAL release . . . do you have other choices aside from the P990 [addsig]

Thanks Jojo. I don't really have any other choices apart from the K800I really. I just fancy the P990I, I had a P800 and found that really useful and I would like a camera for conveniance so the P990 is the only choice. I would get a M600I or W950I if it wasn't for the lack of camera.
I like the TyTn but would prefer a SE phone as I like them and the screen is protected better on the P990I.

@apolloa - Yeah, I have to agree that the P800 still is IN even at this point in time . . . I've had the P800/P900/P910i . . . but for me they are just all the SAME . . . if you are just after the CAMERA on the P990, better yet just buy yourself a Sony Cybershot Digicam A 6 or 7 MegaPixel will surely do . . . Good Luck ! [addsig]

I've got a decent Canon digital camera but I just want one on a phone for practicality as I don't carry the Canon around with me everywhere.
If the software is improving with the 990 then I will be very tempted by it.

I agree, the keys are just awesome for bigger fingers. It is indeed a very comfortable keypad. The only drawback for me was the lack of a MS slot. The Z530 has it, but its keys (from the pictures I've seen) are just terrible.
