God knows how many toy cars I ruined trying to make them do "Ski Mode" and "Turbo Boost"

KITT's total production cost was estimated at $11,400,000 1982 (this was KITT's total construction cost as he was first built in 1982. The cost of subsequent equipment improvements and the installation of additional features since his activation have not been factored).

They only had 4 made dont blame them at the cost of 11 Mill plus. But I guess the others were more bear bones and kitted out (excuse the pun) for more intense driving.
