Which handset will be No.1 Seller this Christmas? |

Bookmaker PaddyPower wants to open a book on which mobile manufacturer will be the number one at the end of Christmas.
ESATO NEWS
Four manufacturers all stand a strong chance of ending up the big winner over Christmas something unheard of in previous years, when Nokia took around 40% of the market and everyone else fought over the scraps left behind.
Everyone has something to shout about, but everyone also has areas of vulnerability, making for a fascinating three months. Sony Ericsson is the one enjoying the best form, but will the traditional prepay period be its undoing without a range of cheap prepay battering rams?
Samsung is many tipsters favourite with its broadest ever range, encompassing its super-sleek Ultra Edition handsets, and landing the back-cover position in Woolworths' first ever catalogue with its S400i.
Perennial winner Nokia has chugged along this year, despite rivals raising their games. Nokia hopes to steam-roller the competition with its traditional strength: a hero handset backed with a broad range. Is the N73 a strong enough hero?
The dark horse that could make a late break from the back could be Motorola. Despite the difficulties it has faced in coming up with replacements to the now two-year-old RAZR, the KRZR and RIZR are exceptionally designed products, and the RAZR could bow out with a bang if it wins operator backing and is priced close to £50.

I'm gonna throw a spanner in the works perhaps, but I predict that the glorified, music-orientated version of the Nokia 6111 (IMO), the Nokia 5300, which was recently made available at Argos, looks set to be a huge seller amongst the youth market; it's been introduced at £119.99...perfect timing for Christmas, Argos and Nokia.

I just wish more punters looking for Christmas pressies, particularly in this market segment, realise what a bargain the K750i is; offering so much for less than the above-mentioned price, even if it isn't the newest kid on the block.

Something from Nokia. 5300 or 6131.
Don't know about the UK market, but in Aussie land, the K750, W300 and Z550 are really good value at the moment, and the RAZR (god forbid) could also be a force. We've got two of the largest operators selling it at a decent (meaning for its style) for the Xmas market.
I've got to say though, the low end SEs are pathetic. They don't look good compared to others around their own price range, and that's the main selling point to most people at this price range.
The K510 is equivalent of 8 pounds less than the Z550 and W300. SE's sorta killing itself with phones like that going up against each other.
