I've just got my new w850i and something odd is happening. Some albums I've uploaded to it play perfectly, but other albums have the track order screwed up...

For example, all my mp3s are called :-

01 - World In My Eyes.mp3
02 - Sweetest Perfection.mp3
03 - Personal Jesus.mp3
And so on.

All the tags are correct (both ID1 and 2).

I upload an album and I get track weird stuff like tracks 4-9 play first, and then 1 to 3.

Only thing I can find in common about the ones with problems is the fact that I've added album art to them using ID3 Tagit. Ones without album art seem to be ok.

I haven't done a comprehensive check yet but this seems to be true so far.

Problem is, not all my mp3s with albumart are incorrect, some work. It's just that all the ones that don't wprk do have albumart embedded.

Also the remaining track times are screwy - Some tracks show as being 12 minutes long when they're only 3 - I've seen this before with vbr mp3s so that's probably the problem.

Any ideas on the track order?

UK O2 firmware by the way.

Cheers

After some 'battle' with my w850i i found that it does not support unicode tags. I had set tags with a tool that used unicode by default - as a result they were played in 'random'.

After i rewrote tags without using unicode - worked like a charm.

I had a similar problem with my old mp3 player. i checked ID tags etc couldnt find anything wrong. by chance i checked the ID tags using Itunes and it showed that some tags had a disc number inserted. not sure how! i removed that and all worked ok. worth a shot i guess!
