Strip the phone down as much as poss, then put it under a bedside lamp for a few hours (minus the battery)-this should help dry it out quickly and reduce chance of corrosion. However, if there where bath salts or bubble bath in the water, that may cause increased corrosion on the main board over next few weeks! Either way good luck! :)

oooops!
Well, you've broken the golden rule already unfortunately You're supposed to switch the phone off (or remove the battery if it won't switch off) dry the phone with a cloth immediately and then begin dismantling it as much as you can without using screwdrivers, such as remove the battery, sim, any other covers etc. and dry the newly exposed bits.
Then, you should clean any exposed electrical parts such as the copper battery and sim card contacts with electrical cleaning solvent spray (such as C-solve) before leaving the phone and all of it's removed bits in a warm, dry place such as an airing cupboard for at least 24 hours, preferably 2-3 days.
Then, put it all back together and give it a try. Ideally, you should take the whole phone to bits, exposing the PCB, ribbon connectors, electrical contacts etc. and spray the whole lot with electrical cleaner before leaving it out to dry.
You can get electrical cleaning solvent from most DIY stores, garages, electrical wholesalers and model shops, it's not very expensive.

However, there is always the chance that it slowly corrodes and things start to go out week after week.

Has anyone got a Guide on how to take it appart?
I already have taken it too bits but the camera button on the side isn't working anymore somewhere a spring goes on it cos I found a tiny spring after putting it back together lol
The phone is working but it's having a few ups and downs still with the Menu button, sometime it work and theres times it wont...
I put it on my heater to dry out last night it has already,
not dissmantled the Screen only the back where the battery goes

Your lucky, my g/friend fried her Nokia in her bag when a drink leaked inside the bag also, the first she knew about it was the phone going crazy. If it was anything other than plain water it is actually recommended to rinse it with fresh water (with the battery out...) and then dry it out, it looks like your phone has survived barring any corrosion, good luck |

I dropped my old phone into my dogs water bowl a while ago, and the way I dealt with it was to turn it off straight away and stick it in the airing cupboard to dry out, worked perfectly fine afterwards. |

@fatreg
I doubt it mate
Spray cleaner drives out water, oils, detergents etc. but it's no good at removing corrosion. The idea is to get the phone to bits and spray it before the water and other shite has time to damage the components.

Sorry fatreg, if the damage is done it is unlikely to cure them, this would only stop corrosion on any exposed terminals/connections becoming a problem later |

I don't know about the UK, but here in the Netherlands Samsung (as only manufacturer), repairs water damaged phones as far as possible, cleaning, removing corrosion, etc. Of course you don't have any guarantee then. As mentioned before, don't know whether they also do this in the UK, but it's worth a try. Good luck!
