i tried connecting my phone to my computer via USB but i get nothing. my computer does not find the phone connected. could it be a bad USB cord???

When you try to charge or turn it on do yuo notice a red light flashing in the infared window?(located below the camera button) If so its dead..... You could have avoided this by updating your fw which fixes this erom bug. If its still under warrenty the you can return it.

@dallas - I've been hearing some K800 problems here similar to yours . . . looks like it's a BAD news Good thing that their fones are still covered by warranty . . . if yours is . . . then just might have it replaced dude. Good Luck ! [addsig]

Problem fixed!

Seems like there was something wrong with the EROM or something like that.

I connected it to wotan by pressing the 2 and 5 keys instead of the "c" button and it worked. Didn't have to reflash or anything. Takes about 5 seconds and thats it.

Those that have this same problem should deffinately try this.

Hi playmate86,

Welcome to Esato forums!

Wotan is an firmware update website a bit like SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service)
the difference is that they buy the very latest official firmware from SonyEricsson and sell to mobile users

so if you pay about £5 you can upgrade to firmware that's about 2-3 months ahead of the SEUS roll out

Or you can wait and use SEUS for free (my option)
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Dcuk

I have the same problem with my p990, the only difference is that I go to SE again and it says your phone has the latest software and won't do anything else. what should I do? is there anyway to refresh it?
(it stopped when it was 40% of flashing, download was finished)
