What has VGA got to do with the user interface?
I mean, VGA is just a type of resolution.

@NightBlade

Maybe it means ui that can handle vga - f.e. in uiq3 it's not implemented.

Just a guess.
I am not here and I am not there. Where am I?

Did any of you see the Serenata You Tube video on shinyshiny.com? We need that kind of speaker quality in the next Walkmans.

VGA (up from QVGA) has a LOT to do with User Interface. Its more important - unless current K790a screen size - than screen size. The resolution allows more information to be put on the screen and doesn't FORCE a designer to be more creative, limiting them but more ALLOWING their creativity to flow.

Imagine having an ever present icon/status display above applications without reducing their content, readibility, usability. Many times travelling the GTA subway to and from work, here in Ontario, Canada, there are 2 stops between which I'm outside and can get signal strength and a data connection. its fustrating to have Opera Mini open ready to click a link, only to find I get a no connection error and HAVE TO switch back to main screen (or Music Player, much faster) to see not only I have signal strength but also that EDGE is attached. One of the open spaces I have 7seconds to load Opera mini (which I usually do before), goto bookmarks load a link and BARELY (not always get this far) get to the last page of the Official K850i thread. The other open air space in the subway line gives me almost a full minute for me to load 2 previous pages & go into bookmarks and jump to another site. The rest of the ride I'm still listening to music but can read the new site, and back each page to the previous catched pages. Although Opera mini loads pages faster (less content to download) I still find that it has a higher latency for their servers to reach my phones requests. The more ppl using it I fear the slower it'll get for everyone, eventually. So far I'm still impressed.

I think I wrote "VGA UI" and "for European market". What does that mean?

Great, I hope there's a gaming phone. I've been putting off buying a PSP/DS because I don't like to lug too many things around. With a gaming phone hopefully we can get a phone, camera, portable gaming and music in one device (equivalent to the cyber-shot not a crippled non-AF, non-Xenon flash dud).

@goldenface, Prom1, benitorios
Thanks for the praise. It's appreciated, and I'm happy that the thread has managed to gain members like you benitorios

And @Prom1
I wouldn't mind a free K850 Who wouldn't?
But I don't expect to gain anything from this thread except the satisfaction of seeing it grow and increase the fun of rumours. Thanks for the offer though

My personal view would be that the gaming device would have the VGA screen.

The games would need good graphics to set it part from normal mobiles, and I'm not sure about the technical side, but I don't think that DVB-H has matured enough to offer VGA video.

I hope that SE do sort or there sliders as the S500i i think seems to really be letting them down with the broken keys issue.

Its fairly exciting to hear about the new phone prospects.

Manufacturers phone lifecyle is getting faster and faster.
