It's more important if the P3 will have Symbian 9.5. That is the first Symbian version that has "dynamic garbage collection" that is the cure for the memory leak problems in the current UIQ3 phones.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD

Will SE ever include VGA video recording to one of their high-end phones? I read the recent updates here but it was not mentioned. I have been wating for a device with that feature even before the announcement last June 14. If P3i and MooI will be capable of recording at that resolution, it would be awesome.

My thoughts about P3i's not final specification.

Software, hardware and Battery
I guess P3i will use Symbian v9.5 with a new version of UIQ. About the CPU speed, same speed as the iphone's and upgradable RAM would be nice. Also, the battery capacity should not be less than 1500 mAh.

Camera
It's camera should be the same as or even more advanced than K850. Adding features such as VGA video recording 30/60fps, optical zoom and manual ISO would be much appreciated.

Connectivity
Support for Wimax should definitely not be left out. Same with Bluetooth 2.1 and HSPA. Full fax support, perhaps?
Built-in GPS (now I appreciate how important GPS is)!

Display
VGA resolution is absolutely great and more enjoyable to view if the screen is bigger.

Physical Dimension Design
I prefer it to be more stylish, sophisticated and thin.
Geez. Why do business phones have to look so boring?

Multimedia
It would be great if P3i will have superior multimedia features than most of the multimedia handhelds.

ERGO, Why not make P3i a real convergence device! It's not hard to make one especially next year(i think so).

m-one are you sure about these info ??

if these are true then I'll buy P1i rather than W960i !!! this is far too long wait man !!! I thought it will come with K850i !!

and maybe when MOOI comes I'll sell the P1i and buy that miracle or P3i depending on price & features...

m-one, will we see P2i or M1i?
from my observations, sometimes it's better off not knowing.

The decision about the final name is made very lately for each model.
Maybe you can remember the P700i. Everyone thought this would be the
device's final name. As at last the P700i was named P1i.

M-one, you said something about Lena earlier right? Is it a code name? I guess it is after Anna-Lena Grönefeld (Germany), 2006 French Open quarter-finalist. Anna and Lena sound like 'sibling phones' Li and Na.
Thank you for the information. Cheers.

AFAIK if SE took code names from WTA Tennis Player, it should be these names :

- Erika (Takao)
- Akiko (Morigami)
Apple iPhone 4, HTC Evo 3D, HTC Sensation, HTC Inspire 4G, HTC Desire S, HTC Wildfire, S001, SO905iCS, T650 (Gold & Green), C901, W800, K660, K700, Beibei (G702), Severine (DEAD)

Mooi is both Dutch and Afrikaans for beautiful.

Being Dutch myself, I never recognized Mooi as being a Dutch word, always thought of it as an abbrevation or something.

Phones with widescreen VGA resolution screens will come, as soon as the new UI for these is finished.

@makbil if it's build on the upcoming UIQ 3.2 (and i think it is!), which is working on atm, it will be symbian 9.5.
