Ahhhhhh...
So the reason it looks stretched horizontally in relation to the K800 is because it isn't--it's squished vertically.
Interesting...

Hmmm... that's exactly the size of the K610i, except 3mm wider =\\.. |

Sofia = 102x48x17
T610 = 102x44x19
So its a small and wide but not overly thin.
They've done well to keep any us knowing only this much.

I'm not getting my hopes up to tell you the truth. There have so many disappointments in the past.

@kreacher
yes i did mention that..... plans were to make it similar in size to k610i, obviously its not going to be exact same size (would be hard to fit 5mp etc in k610 size for now) so it doesnt surprise me its a tad wider/thicker.....

If that is the Sofia pic, I am surprised not to see the fastport on the side trend carried on.

Well, for all you know, they could had come out with a similar concept as what they did with their Sony Cybershot T series where they use prism to have the mechanism working sideways internally instead with actual optical zoom and all.

Edit insert:
I am looking at my Sony DSC-T30 which should be more than a year old now and it's about 18mm thick (just 1mm more than the K610) when measured at where the lens is, and mind you that is with a big ass screen at the back. Of course this is a digital camera, but it shows what kind of engineering marvel is possible.
Of course this doesn't mean that I am fully suggesting that Sofia is going to have zoom and all.

But as far as I am concerned, phone's camera = for convenience more than anything else.
Personally, this is my own opinion, I will choose a SLR any day for the fact that it will still be superior due to the size. I rather have my phone small for everyday use and carry a big chunky stuff when I'm on holidays or taking photos of sceneries and stuff.
EOS for the win! =P

I love the Sony Alpha camera for it's unique in-camera stabilizer unlike some DSLRs i.e. Nikon D80's in-lens stabilization. as you have said: it shows what kind of engineering marvel is possible =D
anyway i bet sofia and shinobu will have UIQ 3.1, if that would be true, then i'll be loving SE more and more.
