So maybe new models will be shown at CEBIT after all. Or is this just a bad coincidence revealing something moments before CEBIT?

I would like to see it in silver really. I'm not hot on the the camera side of Elena - if that is Elena.

According to the photoshop from Deuxani, which was put together on the strength of some good rumours, it looks quite a bit different.

Is it at all possible that that sofia proto does have a lens cover but it's a thin motorised one that opens when the camera is activated?? Not unlike what a lot of real cameras have had for years. Also if the lens is set quite far back into the casing does that mean that it is still possible for it have enough space to zoom optically? Or maybe to go with the motorised lens cover even have a motorized telescopic zoom lens? Maybe I'm dreaming and hoping for a little bit too much.

Will someone explain to me what the hell this is?

This i believe is the keypad taken out of the phone. pic was focusing on the new buttons, the hang up key. if u look carefully, the keypad has got the new camera lit display icons, which comes on in the camera mode. The one similar to the new k810. notice the flash icon on the right next to the number 3 button.

Sorry lens cover. I know people will still be worried about it being scratched although we haven't seen the final version yet.

ok now sofia, where're the left-right soft keys? whoever gets that right will get an e-card lol

Elena will be cybershot branded, the messaging device shown rendered today is not Elena. you can give some thought to where the metal casing comes in, paint on top? or it's something else ?

ok I shouldn't confuse you guys.

Would they be, by any chance, the three light coloured metal buttons at the top of the keypad - between the keypad and the bottom of the screen? You can see one above the 'c' button.

.......and I take it the middle softkey button will take the place of the shortcut key. Am I right?

Those three 'buttons' just below the screen look too small to use as buttons. They are a fraction the size of any other button on the phone. I'm guessing (only guessing) there might not be any softkeys/shortcut button. The fact that there's no obvious select button for the d-pad and that there is pick-up/hang-up buttons shows SE have gone all out on a new setup. Maybe a new UI doesn't require the softkeys. Do you think it's significant that the d-ring encircles 2 buttons? If it was just around one I could believe that that button doubles up as the execute button when the menu is open. Could the 2 and 5 keys double up as softkeys when the phone is in standby?

I would say that the answer key and hang up button are also used like softkeys. If not, those buttons would almost never be used, so it would make a lot of sense for them to be the softkeys.

Ok... so this isn't Elena....... or is the silver one Elena and the black one another version?! Or are they at least the same device? Or is the silver one just an unfinished black one?!

Well I don't think its any coincidence that there are three of those buttons, or rather 'touch-sensitive keys' as would imagine they are.

I get where your coming from. I think the 2 and 5 keys may double up as a 'select' and may be a 'launch' key. It sounds to me like there is a new UI anyway.
