Does anyone know how to get the p990 to play WMA files? My whole music collection is in this format so I am a little miffed that the phone cannot play these files.

You can't.

Most none Windows devices won't as the manufacturer would have to pay a licence fee to Microsoft which is also the reason software developers don't add compatibility either.

Don't think any Symbian device has ever played wma files.

Sorry I can't help with onboard WMA playing but I do know that there are music management programs which will automatically transcode files as it transfers them to the device (or memory stick).

I use Amarok (on linux) and have set it to transcode to ogg at medium-quality when transferring to the P910. All of my CDs are stored as high-bitrate mp3s which I don't need just for headphone use, and I only have a 1gb MS. It happily does wma since there are wma codecs for linux.

As for programs to run on windows - maybe itunes, musicmatch jukebox, something like that.
