I currently own a P900 and have been waiting for the P990i for a very looong time. Alas all I seem to hear is bugs! RAM problem etc etc.

Should I go in for one now and will the problems be sorted after a firmware upgrade or should I wait for a stable version to be put out (is there something like this in the horizon)

Really appreciate any advice
Thanks

If you want a P990i, I'd get one now (I did and haven't regretted it). Firmware updates should solve any minor problems in the future as you know. I'm very happy with mine - I use wifi, 3G etc with no problems. However if you're not the most patient and want the 'finished article' immediately then I wouldn't recommend it due to the problems some ppl are documenting here. I guess it's a bit of a lottery, I know that I've been fine.

Enjoy if you get it

I think P990 is a BAD SONY project…
It is obvious that this device has wrong philosophy…
This is NOT a Power Mobile Phone like P800/900/910, is only a “smart phone” like M600 etc.
If you won’t a Power future phone, look at Windows Mobile solutions.

I think this is the last (wrong) attempt for Power Phone device from Sony…
Is end of Pxxx Power phones, shame to Sony Project Management Tim.

If you like tinkering get it now, if you want a quick stable dependable device stay with your trusty P900 a bit longer! Nothing on earth would get me to pay for this "Toy" at present.
