No it is out using their regular service.
The improvements I have found so far are:
1. Registration sms. When you start the phone it asks you to send a reg sms.
2. Quick function “new task” is now working
3. Browser is now opening a bit quicker and running quicker
4. Webmail on browser is working without any trouble
5. Phone seems much quicker.
6. Clock in button close mode.
7. I cant put my finger on it, but the themes look just a little bit different.
Back-up did not include:
1. Music files
2. Start Icons configuration

What exactly is the regular update service? How can you tell, without using the SEUS, which is the latest FW release?

It's gotta be a better way to check the latest FW, other than wasting 10 to 15 minutes with all the steps using SEUS. You need to power off the phone, take the SIM out, open the SEUS, wait maybe to download latest updates, then plug in the phone with the C key on, accept the terms, recognize the phone and finally see that you need NO updates................ previously it was possible to just go on line and type in your current CDA and you will get the answer on the spot

Being the amateur that I am, I have no idea what SEUS is. I simply thought this is a service used by developers and since I am not I just based this on my own knowledge. I simply assumed that it was'nt. But I can be misstaken. However, I strongly think this is the latest version availble for the public, since it was released today. This I know since I tried it this morning and it was not there, but it was this afternoon. |

To the best of my knowledge, yes!
Check you CDA, mate. If the one I mentioned above is newer, than go for it.

Although "the SEUS" does sound i little like hacker lingo it actually stands for the Sony Ericsson Update Service.
See its not all that scary! thanks for the info man - i'll be updating as soon as my battery is above 10% (whats the worst that can happen? - ok ok i'll be patient!)

Haha! I had no idea! I always thought it had some kind of magical touch to it. Also amazed in how many actually were developers here. Great laugh! well you learn something everyday. |
