That's why I state that you must request it. Keep in mind that it will be a special request (as this is unsupported software), so you have to somehow convince them to contact RIM to do it. I'm sure they will do what it takes to satisfy their customer. RIM certainly has the capabilities of putting pins in there manually, although they will tell you that they can't guarantee it will work. Make sure to click "Register Now" after you provision your Internet account. Then RIM should be able to track that PIN # and associate it to Vodafone UK's approved pin list.

I did select 'Register Now'. So in theory my pin might get added on for me automatically? Else I'll try getting it stored while at work tomorrow

There is a good chance that it will be added automatically. The one quick way to confirm that it was added successfully is if the software returns a message that sais your blackberry has successfully been registered. However, it doesn't guarantee that you will be able to create a NEW online account. If you have a current account it should prompt you to change to the new PIN as all PIN numbers are associated to your mobile account anyway. These are only precautionary warnings for those that have issues with the online account registration.

I've got a work blackberry already so I just stuck that simcard in and went to change my handheld. At which point it said it didn't reconise my PIN\\IMEI combination and to contact customer services!

It definately should sync. The calendar and contact sync has never really been a general issue even with the P900/P910 series. I've only seen isolated reports of this issue. In that case, I would just attempt to reconcile. Or better yet send a test calendar request meeting and see if you get it. If all else fails, delete the service books and resync to the configuration tool and have it load it over again.

Sounds like you have a browser configuration setting issue. I'm assuming you are entering the password. If doesn't attempt to prompt for download then it definately is your browser settings (check security levels and pop-up settings).

The issue was not with the browser, but rather with the password. You have to enter it every time it asks. It must be typed at least twice, to get twice the download button. Only second time will start the dpwnload. Thanks.

The one quick way to confirm that it was added successfully is if the software returns a message that sais your blackberry has successfully been registered.

___

How long does it take for the software to return the message u mentioned? And how is that information supposed to look like?

Maybe the issue is with my GPRS. The moment I choose Registration, my GPRS shows "logon failed" status.

Unfortunatly the software does not support wireless sync contacts, you have to sync that with the SE sync software...frustrating, i know!
