M600i case or? |

Im very afraid that i put my m600i in my jeanspocket and find the screen broken...
The screen is a touchscreen so it is kind of sensitive and not that strong as a ordinary mobile screen.
I put together a case myself fron two walets. it works great to protect the screen but it is not that god looking.
So i want to know how you are holding your m600i from getting scrathed up and broken?
Do you have it in a pocket or kostume and are you using a protection for it?
correct me if im wrong but the screen is sensitive right?

it will be fine (touch wood) i've had a p900 and a p910 and the screen never broke. and i'm not exactly careful. i just make sure that when i put my phone in my pocket that the screen is facing my body. |

So do you use some kind of screen protection then? like those thin plastic layers?

I use the Martin Fields Screen-protector. It's nice, although a Pain in the A** to apply correctly. When it fits and is not lined with dust on the inside, however, you can't even see it's there. And it doesn't hamper the touch-screen either.

When applied correctly a Martin Fields screen protector is like having a new screen fitted! I recently sold my K800 and the guy asked where the screen protector was as he didnt even realise it was on the screen! lol
The one for the M600 is also very good. I have one on mine.

I use a screen protection film and I put my phone in an iPod sock which keeps it from scratches.

Hi all,
haveing just recieved a M600 and a Krusell case all i can say is the case is a tight fit but will loosen up and still allows full use of ports etc and aslo comes with the multi adapt swivel adapter and i highly recomend it for protecting your phone and keeping it mint.

I've got the Krussell case to and would recommend it to anyone for protection.
Also thinking of getting the Cabriolet version too, Expansys finally got them back in stock, they had a few in on Thursday. |

My p900's screen did. I was annoyed, to say the least. I don't even remember hitting something, I just grabbed it off my jeans pocket and the display was cracked.
My .2 cents is "Get a case, soon". |

How are people finding the m600i?
I am CLOSE to buying one, but i am hearing stoires from people about their screen smashing, and software issues etc.
What do you think? |

Hi!
I wouldn't worry about the screen. Ok, I don't keep my m600 in my jeans pocket, but mainly because I am worried of thiefs... About software issues: yes they are, just like in ANY modern phone. More comnplex OS means more possible bugs I think the biggest issue is the web browser, which crashes sometimes (although I havent had crashes with the latest firmware, but I didn't really used it yet since the upgrade (=yesterday). And sometimes the phone runs out of memory and restarts. But this is because users tend to open a lot of programs and don't close it... which doesn't happen with the k750/w900/etc, because simply you cannot open more programs in the same time So if you keep track of them, and close them, the phone is pretty stable. You can use Swissmanager (and soon sman) to do the cleaning for you automatically. But I prefer manual controll.
Btw, the phone does run out of memory, but it has a LOT of memory compared to non symbian phones: ~15MB. I can start music playback, browse the net, while the page(s) is loading play some games, and it runs smoothly. I think it runs even smoother then the p910 (and the CPU speed differences arent that much - 156 vs 208) Btw, opera mini is also very usable on this phone: you can open one page only, but it needs much less memory and much less gprs traffic. The calendar program is much more powerfull then in non-symbian se phones. |

This phone does not need a case for when it is in your pocket. I have mine in there with a Martin Fields Screen protector and it is fine. OBviosuly I wouldN7t put keys, coins, metal etc in same pocket. That is dumb.
Besides the value of the phone partly its thin size. If you are going to put a case on it just go and get the 990 instead.
As far as dropping it goes, mine has fallen out of my shirt pocket on 3 occasions onto wood floor and carpet floor. No damage, no dent. So what is a case going to do?
For me the key thing is the screen protector. That and some common sense is all you need. |
