For people trying to unbrand their M600i, using XS++ and the CDA change, then trying to update via SEUS, it wont work.

There is a problem with it at the moment, according to Sony Ericsson...

Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Call Centre.

I do apologize for the inconvenience caused here. We are aware of this issue and are in the process of getting this issue resolved.
The only other way to perform a Update Service to the handset, is to take it in to a Service Centre, where our phone techs there can perform this for you.
Refer to the link below for a list of Sony Ericsson authorised service centres in Australia.

*sigh* Now who the hell kows when it'l be fixed... It's annoying, because I asked them when, and they just ignored the question.

How often to they release new Update Software?

I've found that the only way I was able to get around this SEUS problem of not letting you update when using XS++ is to go back to the old way of swapping the files in the blob_fs folder.

It's more confusing, but if done carefully, it still works.

Just restore your GDFS backup to your phone before trying the blob_fs method.

Hi!

I have the same problem and SEUS doesn't upgrade my m600i. I want to try the blob_fs folder method but I don't have back up of my GDFS to restore it and I changed the CDA via XS++ ¿what can I do?

Thanks a lot.

whatever you do, don't download the m600i firmware and use XS++ to flash it because you will end up with a brick...
i know there are paid ways to get it fixed but i'd rather just send it back to orange to be repaired under warranty and just use another phone until i can use the SEUS update to get rid of the orange crap.

I just got a P990 from ebay. I updated using SEUS and it was set to Taiwan (59), so the latest firmware will not update. I read I can use this program to change to Generic World 1 or 2, then SEUS will update me to the latest. My concern is the lack of a manual. I don't want to screw up something! I tried the link for a manual in the FAQ, but I get a file not found error. What exactly do I need to do to change my phone to Generic World 1? Sorry for my noobiness!!!!!
