i've recieved the settings for o2 email from the SE site but am unable to download emails. i can send emails fine.
i get the message "pop3 access not granted, please check your username and password" which i did of course.
anybody had any luck setting up their o2 email on there phone? |

Check the settings, the out going server address in the settings (for o2)should always read smtp.o2.co.uk. However if you are using another pop 3 account other than o2 the incoming server address should be for your other account, e.g in my case 'pop.freeserve.net' as i use a freeserve (wannado) account.
The settings for o2 usually apply for an o2 email account! |

the user name and password also needs to be that used for your pop 3 account you are using, which my differ from any o2 email account you have |

i forgot to say that i have sorted out the problem. the setting from the se site are slightly wrong. i just added @o2.co.uk to the end of the pop3 username and now all is well! |
