i've recieved the settings for o2 email from the SE site but am unable to download emails. i can send emails fine.

i get the message "pop3 access not granted, please check your username and password" which i did of course.

anybody had any luck setting up their o2 email on there phone?

Check the settings, the out going server address in the settings (for o2)should always read smtp.o2.co.uk. However if you are using another pop 3 account other than o2 the incoming server address should be for your other account, e.g in my case 'pop.freeserve.net' as i use a freeserve (wannado) account.

The settings for o2 usually apply for an o2 email account!

the user name and password also needs to be that used for your pop 3 account you are using, which my differ from any o2 email account you have

i forgot to say that i have sorted out the problem. the setting from the se site are slightly wrong. i just added @o2.co.uk to the end of the pop3 username and now all is well!
