Try Picstop or Online Memory. Usually quite cheap from there as well. There's 10 M2 512mb cards on the rack at CPW in Stafford.

It seems to be a problem here in Sweden as well. Unless you are willing to pay way too much for the 1GB M2, most of the vendors are out of stock, or contantly specify the next delivery date one or two weeks ahead, and then moving the delivery date further forward when that date comes close. Should it really be so difficult for Sony to deliver these memory sticks? Or is it just a trick in order to keep the price level at that ridiculously high level as it is. As a comparison, I bought a 512 MB SD Micro/Transflash for my Motorola for about 220 SEK, while I payed nearly 400 SEK for the 512 MB M2 for my K800.
BTW, it's only the 1GB Ms that's out of stock, it's easy to find a 512MB M2, but I don't like the idea of having two M2's and swapping them at need, even though hot-swapping is possible. |

these things arent even available in Australia yet, well retail stores anyway.
Only the little import stores who get from hk, still hard to find.
Ebay is probably your best bet, and i dont think there are fake ones available yet... |

I contacted Sony Ericsson this morning the minute their lines opened and was told that they only had 3 1GB Memory Stick Micros left in stock. Thing is, the person I was speaking to put me on hold to ensure that I had one of the remaining few, and when he came back he told me that I'd be 'allocated one' when stock arrives and should receive it in the next 3-4 days. Hmm...
Slightly confused if they've got any or not now! Guess I'll find out by the end of this week. This is all a bit of a farce isn't it?

Rubish to you too!!!
I am in Essex UK (Lakeside) area, I went to CPW, not in stock was told they are £59.99. CPW do not even list em on their website. Next stop was Mapplins, don't do em. PC World do not do them, Curry's do not do them, never heard of them. The Link do not have them and have no idea when. Virgin shop had 512mb for £39.99 and 1gig £69.99. Orange shop didn't have them on the shelf, nor an empty peg where they are out. Salesman said try Amazon (who do not list em). Vodaphone, not in no idea when they are getting them next. Went to all the other major phone shops not got any or are £55+ (which I thought was way over priced) and the last place I thought I would get one was the "Sony Centre" shop, which again didn't have them and had no idea when they were next getting, again £50-£55 range.
So its not rubbish, it's the price they are selling for in my area. Personally I think £45 is reasonable for a 1gig card. W2W have a Scandisk M2 1gig card listed for £29.99 but not on sale until end of September.

Well, I guess we have just had different experiences.
As I stated in my first post, I visited P4U, CPW, T-Mobile and they all had them in stock selling for 40-60. Yes, 60 may be a bit on the steep side, but thats an inevitable by-product of demmand exceeding suply. I am not surprised that PC World/Maplins/Currys don't do them, the M2 card is only used in phones [as far as I know?] so far, so they're unlikely to stock them, at least initially.
And your point about CPW not even showing them on the website is again, rubbish....
...admittedly, it is now out of stock, but it definitely wasn't yesterday...and to be honest what do you expect when its 30% off.

Ak fair play I did look in the memory cards section and they are not there but are in the Special Offers section which I didn't look in. Still very weird not to have them in the memory card section of the site. |

Just for curiosity: What's the price for a 1GM SD Micro/Transflash on that site? My guess is about 60% of the price of a M2. I don't understand why there has to be such a difference. |
