A friend sent me these images from - Dubai ! . . .
Worth viewing ............................
Hi,
.....see the kind of sand storm that occurs in Dubai!!!! By the way these buildings that u can see are all more than 50 floors high!!! It's a baaaaaaaaaad time if it's stormy here!
No one is supposed to get out of house...and if u r driving while this occurs then God help u....u should stop the car immediately no matter where and at what speed u r....as a rule every car should stop but b'cos some fools don't do that there are major accidents that occur during these storms.....
thankfully they are not very frequent ...only three months that they bother....but when they occur they occur suddenly and there is no way u can tell if one is just round the corner!

these aren't sand storms.
This effect is due to the Humidity and buildings that reflect the heat and cause such a 'fog' like effect.

Yeah doesn't look like a sandstorm at all.
Was VERY humid when I went about 2 months ago.

it's one of those garbage 'rumour/myths/fakes' that are going around the net.
It's not a sandstorm.

I didn't mention photoshop. I said it wasn't a sandstorm, more of a humidity fog.

This looks like the fog that surrounds San Francisco bay for the majority of the summer months.

@amne - OK . . . better to have noticed it as a FOG . . . than a FAKE  The color is not that close too . . . FOG = light blue , SAND STORM = brownish .. . .

our fog looks like that.
Fog in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, everywhere, it's a humidity fog

Trust me, I'm Qatari, I've been to Dubai, I live 30 mins away from Dubai and it's not a Sandstorm.
I swear on my mother's life, my father's life, my own life, and whoever elses life you want.
Trust me on this, it is NOT a sandstorm. If it was, the buildings would be scratched up as hell for one.
edit: that's not to say there is no sand includd, it's just not a sandstorm.
