So I've had my w800i for a couple of months now, but the speaker on my phone cracks when i have music on loud, and it feels kinda quiet compared to my sister's w810...so i was just wondering if my speaker is broken and if so, how can i fix them?

The same here. The voice was damn quiet and on max volume appears nasty hissing. I posted similar topic on the se-nse forums and a guy linked some modded drivers from w810 + k750 to replace, wich increased the speaker volume but the hissing too. If u want to try them(drivers) search there or tell me to upload the files if you don't find 'em.

the w800i is much louder than the w810i. try updating the firmware. Also get rid of the hissing here (when using earphones). You can't get rid of the hissing for the w810i btw. And you could also set the speaker on your w800i as loud as the ringtone. Look around at the software part of esato.

I actually updated the phone firmware to r1bc the second day i got it - minimal volume incease, thats all. The only place where i found something mentiond 'bout the speaker was in the 'no hissing' topic - 1 post.

use far manager. (use the link above to install far manager)

Copy file farfield_ring.apf to any folder of PC, rename it to farfield_play.apf and copy back. So file farfield_play.apf in phone is replaced by file with settings of farfield_ring.apf.

btw its very loud (2x louder than the w810i i estimate), uses more battery so don't use it 24-7..turn down the volume to save battery

The sound quality with the loud mod using the "Ring Setting" is terrible.

Its heaps louder yes, but the sound quality even at lower volumes is still distorted.
