Thanks for your reply, it kind of confirms my suspicions. However, it's odd (if not to say annoying) you're stuck with the ABCD...-kind of keyboard whilst in previous versions, one could choose between ABCD, QWERTY and AZERTY.
Isn't there some sort of 'hack' to force TT6 to display the QWERTY type? Maybe through some config of ini file I'm not aware of?

Sure, and that's what I'm doing, but it's annoying to have a QWERTY hardware keyboard, and an alphabetical one on screen. Maybe it's possible to hide the onscreen keyboard as a whole (would be nice to use the entire screen for browsing addresses etc). Does anyone know how to do this?

With what kind of gps did you go? I have the GlobalSat BT-359 with SiRF3 and it is excellent.

I have tested wayfinder on a w800 before and there it worket perfectly! Must be some problems with the wayfinderprogram for UIQ3. Hope they fix it. I like wayfinder more then wisepilot...

They have a free system (that may start to cost about 10 euros a year...)

recently jumped on the tom tom train and must say i love this s/w. fortunate enough to say i had no problem installing it along with the voices to the good person who posted. you know who u are. much thanks. loving it here in so calif.
@michael. i purchased the package on the tom tom site with gps receiver.

Did anyone ever find a solution for the "an error occurred on your tomtom device. please try again." when trying to use TomTom Traffic on a P1i? Internet and everything else is fine except for TomTom Traffic...

Whenever I connect my P990 to PC and get TomTom Home to check for updates it says 'no updates'. But I've seen comments above that say v6.75 is out. TomTom.com says this only for Pocket PC, not UIQ3
I have downloaded Poclet PC v6.75 but do not want to install to phone before someone confirms they are using this version. Or tell me where UIQ v6.75 (if it exists) is located.

Hi all,
I've been running tomtom successfully over the last few months (the download mentioned in previous posts). However, now it seems the account for the online services (traffic, weather) has expired because it prompts me to enter my account when I try to access these functions.
Anyone who has a 'fix' for this? |

I have the same problem. I'm running TomTom UIQ3 6.021 on P1i. The problem is that although TomTom HOME recognises the software, maps etc installed on the memory card, it does not recognise the device and so you cannot perform certain functions like browse device and update software. If you click on the "Device" menu and make sure the device (memory card) is set to "Symbian UIQ 3rd Edition", it still doesn't work. |

Can anyone help me . I moved my Tomtom6 software from my P990i to my P1i but now the maps need an activation code.
The device code is ANDSE DSKEN
The map is GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE |

Yeah, that's just as good. Go ahead and link the guy to a site that tells him just how to download and use a keygen. Oy! You guys are just too much. You won't be happy until you've put TomTom out of business now will you??? I can't believe this site doesn't moderate this kind of crap a bit better. |

With all due respect guys, it isn't illegal to use copied software, providing the licence is legitimate and not duplicated.
ie, if you move software from one device to another, then the use of the software on the original device or computer etc, must cease to exist.
