Help !
I have a W950i i tried to install TT6 version 6.02 (as this is the only version for UIQ3) on my mobile.
Nada!
It starts the installer and that's it, nothing is happening. i thought it is something wrong with the files..i tried getting them from other places, still the same.
Is it possible to be something wrong in my firmware ? I tried SE updating it says your phone has the latest firmware.
any other ideas?
there is no problem in buying the original software but first i want to try it ..as there is no trial on tt6 official website.
Also a dumb-dumb-dumb guide on how to install the software will be helpful (is not the first time on installing software like that - but you know what hey say: masters can go wrong too)
I have other gps software installed but i just want to see how this tt6 really is. |

i installed tt6 on my w950i with great success, just by reading through the instructions already posted throughout this thread!

I got it now, all i needed was a hard format of the phone memory as well as the media drive memory.
Installation done!

from what i know the latest tomtom6 version for UIQ 3 is v 6.020 (actually is the only one working on UIQ 3)

Bluetooth problems?
My Bluetooth GPS dongle always used to work fine with TomTom on my P900, but on my P990 it loses the connection every couple of minutes - simply says "No bluetooth GPS device". If I go into the GPS status screen it generally picks the connection back up, but this really isn't ideal when I'm driving.
"Enable power saving" is unticked in bluetooth prefs, and the dongle is a trusted device. I seem to remember an individual power saving preference for each device, but can't find this now?
Any ideas?

BS...My P990i works great with TT6. Nothing is wrong and I am driving an d driving... For 2 months no single problem with TT6 and p990i. Using BT GPS Receiver. |

I had the same problem, what GPS reciever model do you have? Perhaps theres a particular companys chipsets that the P990 doesnt like. I have tried a BT-R700 and a BT-Q810 and both cause disconnects. I have sent my phone off to be debranded/updated so hopefully that will cure the problem. |

My TT6 on p990i worked with all the software's, starting from RA7 (December, 2006). Updated twice (R9A, R9C) and no problems. No changes. Great stuff. I am using it with Solar BT GPS Receiver off eBay.
P990i really rocks! I have never expected this phone could be such a powerfull machine. |
