Route 66 by a long way if my past experiences with Wayfinder were anything to go by.
Ultimately they are very different products - Route 66 is a traditional system comparable to TomTom, whereas Wayfinder is a bit like a thin client navigation system - no maps, or route planning are done of the device itself, but use your phones data connection to their servers for map downloads and routing. |

My experience backs-up Sleepyhead. I had a nightmare with Wayfinder on my Nokia 9500. They just don't know how to produce good quality software. In the end they had o give me 3 months extension free to my subscription because the 9500 version was just very faulty (they also had to give me a new GPS as the standard Wayfinder GPS did not work with the 9500). I now use TomTom on my HTC Universal and its much more reliable (but can be as incomplete as Wayfinder when it comes to some areas of the country).

How familiar does that sound. I think they must have ended up giving everyone a 3 month extension. |

I had a discussion yesterday with TomTom people and they told me that there could be a version for the P990i and M600i. But only in a speciale Navi-to-go box. There will not be seperate versions and packages available in the shops from TTM6. It is all not sure yet at this stage.

Wayfinder trail will be bundled with the P990 on the memory stick duo.
see: http://www.wayfinder.co.uk/ne[....]category=press&year=2006&id=59
You can use the same virsion on the p900/p910 but its a differnt install file as differnt operating system on the p990. |

I've also used wisepilot (http://www.wisepilot.com/) which works quite well, again similar system to wayfinder but I think i prefer wisepilot at this moment.
One of my primary requirements for the M600i was to run some sort of navigation software... i was quite annoyed that it didnt run tom tom at first but then i found some alternatives (Nav4all too) which made me feel better.

I spoke to TomTom at the London Motor Show earlier this week. They didn't even know what Symbian or UIQ was and were totally uninterested in listening to customer requests, so I think the chances of a UIQ3 version are looking slim.
Great software, rubbish company!

I was doing some networking at the london Motorshow and found that most of the stands were being staffed by contract staff who are nothing to do with the company whos products they were promoting. So I am not supprised the staff knew nothing about UIQ etc, etc. Try speaking to Tom Tom direct you might get more sence out of them.
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot. |

| My new screen and case have already arrived.
It's a shame really as the P990 looks like a really good phone but the difficulty in getting lots of good software out indicated by sleepyhead (in another forum) leads me to look elsewhere, but these are just my needs.

I testet the trial of wayfinder on my p990 and it worked with a few glitches... The voice-sound had problems... It was kind of strobed... Eh. tu...rn ne....xt..... le....ft..
I have tested wayfinder on a w800 before and there it worket perfectly! Must be some problems with the wayfinderprogram for UIQ3. Hope they fix it. I like wayfinder more then wisepilot...
I'm also waiting for http://www.nav4all.com/
They have a free system (that may start to cost about 10 euros a year...)
Have anyone tested nav4all?
