Any K800 owners out there feel like downloading the trail software from www.wayfinder.com and telling us if it works on the K800 please?
Cheers

If its a Java app then it will work. The K750 is listed as compatible so there should be no reason why it would not work on the K800. |

I'm thinking the screen size is different and so this may cause some problems - especially seeing as how the app downloads map screens...not sure if they're calobrated to a smaller screen?
Anyone installed this on a K800 yet?
I'm phoning O2 to see if I can get an upgrade to the K800 tomorrow and so really would like to know.
Cheers

Now, I dont have a k800 myself so I cant try, but what I would try is to download the w900 version and install it. If I remember it correctly it has the same screen size as the k800?! |

From Wayfinder support:
The phone you are asking about is not yet compatible with Wayfinder Navigator, even thou it might been shown on our web page.
Our developers are working with a software version for this phone and as soon it is ready and tested, it will be listed as compatible phone.
Unfortunately I can’t tell any date for release but hope it will be soon. My guess is within 14 days.
You will find the information when released by clicking the link below:

I have ordered it and I have had some contact with Wayfinder. They will be releasing the K800i version soon, probably next few weeks. Fastest way to see when it is available is the install link from mywayfinder.com, according to them, it will be the first place they update the information.
I have not found a way to download versions for other phones, their download site getwf.com checks what phone is connecting and will only allow download for supported phones, i.e. for the phone attempting the download. I have tried to get the W900i version too...
When I install it I will report here about it, unless someone else does it before me.

Now it is available for the K800i, just downloaded it. Will try it out with my Globalsat BT-359 that arrived yesterday. I have played around with Nav4all since yesterday, it works but I do not really like it that much.

This is a bit weird... Tried my BT GPS since yesterday with more than half a dozen programs, freeware, SW, trial. None of tem had any trouble finding and using the BT-359. My wife needed directions to the airport today so I installed trial version of WF on her K608, no problem using the GPS.
When I try to use WF on my K800, it does not find any BT units at all. It searches, the search goes on... No complaints about not finding anything, just keeps looking. Customer service very helpful as usual, but no solution yet.
To be continued...

Tried Wayfinder 6 today on my K800 and it worked just fine. I had the same problem that the application didnt find my BT GPS but you must have Bluetooth activated before you start Wayfinder.
Maybe thats a solution on your problem? |

I used nav4all frequently with my W800i but now with my K800i (R1CB001) it doesn't work. Or to be precise, my K800i loses connection with the BT GPS and doesn't reconnect so it only works for like 1-5 minutes before it stops. nav4all seems to work fine but the BT fails.
I think the K800i has some issues with BT as it does the same with my BT-headset but to that it reconnects so it doesn't bother me. But it's a pity I can't use nav4all... |
