I have a w800i updated to the R1BC002 firmware.
Lately, whenever I try to take a new photo,
the camera focuses ok but when I press the button again,
I can listen to the standard shutter sound and
then the camera just crashes and the phone
doesnt save the photo!
Its getting really annoying and its happenning
more and more often to the point that I have to
repeat the process several times in order to
finally take a photo!
Also, sometimes the camera starts up using the 'Solarize' effect
as if its the default photo taking mode!

Whats causing this? Please help me cos it drives me nuts!
Can I use the FarManager software to repair this maybe?
N.

Hi, I have similar problem with this version of FW on my D750>W800i. I solve it by switching off/on the phone. About fixing the bug i have no idea.

Could possibly be a loose camera connector on the phone's pcb, but to fix it would mean taking the phone apart to get to the connector to push it back in (if that is what's causing the problem!)

Try going to your settings, and select the Save to option, then choose either memory card / phone memory again.

That'll probably solve the problems... maybe. Give it a try.

I've experienced the similar problem and it was solved only by restart the phone. Turn your phone off and then turn it on again....

Yeah, the same happened to me; I had the media player skin and the modded camera driver.
but when I removed the media player skin, it was normal again.
I think you can't have everything in his world.

Don't think it's much of a media skin issue - I'd had media sking with hybrid drivers and no crashes.
I'd suggest u to change the camera drive to one of the latest hybrid drives which got better compression. If it still doesn't work, maybe you need to uninstall the media skins.

I no longer have my K750 with me now. BTW i used to have driver v2.1 earlier.

See this thread for all the drivers. See page # 11 & page 20 (for v 2.1, 2.3 and 2.4. Dont try 2.2 - it's buggy)

I have driver 5.3 on my D750>W800 and no periodically the mistake (no saving a picture and return to the main menu) comes.
I have no new player skin, just changed couple of icons in main menu.

Well, first of all thank you really for all your answers!!!

No,I dont have any hacked media player skins or menus!
No,the problem doesnt stop after re starting the phone!
(Not anymore anyway...)
No,the problem doesnt stop when I reset all settings!
I ve done it 2-3 times and the problem is still there!

I took it in a service station this morning and see what happens...
I suspect a loose connection as someone suggested.
After a free fall this sort of thing can happen I guess...
Hope I get no charge for this though, cos I m under warranty.

so it fell, you must have said that in the first place, but it's good that your phone went to a service center.
