First, Have a look at these pics:
The one on the left is HPM-70, and the one on the right is HPM-60.

After converting my K750 into W800, yesterday I bought a HPM-70 handsfree coz I thought it’s quality is much better than HPM-60. (K750’s original one)
[AND I bought the original HPM-70, three times more expensive than nonoriginal ones]
When I tested the new handsfree, OOOOOHHHHH, It was just like listening to a 1$ handsfree. Suddently I remembered that I had uploaded aksd’s no_hissing files and it must be somehow related to that.
When I got home, I rolled back to the original acoustic files and then tested again: JUST Normal quality.
NOW the matter is that: with HPM-60 I had no problem with no_hissing files AND the quality was fantastic, and also with louder volume; But with the new HPM-70 (Which is ORIGINAL WALKMAN’s handsfree) the quality is just normal.
EVEN with original acoustic files, HPM-60’s volume is about 10% more, AND also with much better Bass.

As seen in the pictures above, it MUST be due to headphone’s size (Although not always the bigger is better BUT for a headphone it IS important)

All in all it’s a real shame for SE that HPM-60’s quality (which is non-walkman handsfree) is MUCH better than HPM-70’s quality (which is walkman’s standard handsfree)

What do you think?

P.S. Although the matter of sound quality is completely a SUBJECTIVE matter, BUT there are some big differences that you can easily notice, just if you have non-impaired ears!!!!

you have a dud hpm-70 maybe. My HPM-70 is fine. Excellent quality and better than the original, although the original aren't too bad either.

I wonder what's the issue with so many HPM-70s around. I bought a set of original HPM-70s too, for my K750, and found them to be much better than the HPB-60 - Yes, it's HPB60, and not HPM. (K750 default headset).

Is it a fact that is not consistent with their quality control?

The HPM-70 i bought was from a w800's package that the phone itself was stolen and the owner put it there for sale.I bought the HPM-70 and the USB cable.This way my hansfree should be the original one; Isn't it?

Another topic apart from quality(which i believe is completely a subjective matter), is the volume which is noticably higher(5-10%) in HBP-60 than HPM-70.

@QVGA
Have you ever compared ur HPM-70 with any HPB-60?

@happykhan,
Volume i definitely higher in the HPB-60, coz it's meant to drown all external noise with it's own volume, unlike the HPM-70, which insulates your ears from external noise.

And as far as your narrative goes, I feel, the seller has you taken for a ride, though I can't say for sure.

Ofcourse i have. And how can you possibly think SE will provide inferior ear phones with a W series phone?

I think that my HPM-70 should be an original one:

Isn't it?

Anyway, Tomorrow i will compare my HPM-70's quality with my friend's one who has a W800 and i will post the results.

You need to put the headphones long into your ears so that it feels the first time like you have pushed them to long.

The hpm-70 is the best headphones that i have had!

You definitely can't draw conclusions from the outer labels only.....you got to dig deeper to differentiate an original from the dupe.
Anyway, original vs dupe isn't an issue here - AFAIK, even many of the owners of the Original headsets complain of poor quality.

Interestingly I've tested 5-6 original HPM-70 headsets from my friends' W550s and W800s, and i'm yet to see a HPM-70 that gives poor quality sound.
