Hey guys,
i thouth i'll share with you all my solution to resolve the problem with the joystick that's not working properly after a while.
I had the same problem with my K700.. back then.. joystick worked terrible and i send it to SE to fix it .. i guess the put a new joystick
The i got K750 and around a 2 months ago i began to experience same problem with the stick like .. very slow to totally no response ..
so then i did the following .. and since then i never had an issue with the joystick..
1. Buy a can of pressured air (aka liquid hydrogen) also know as 'Dust OFF'
2. With every can you get a long thin tube..(couldn't find any other word )
3. if you hold can vertically it will release pressured air.. that's not what we need.
4. Turn the can horizontally.. (wit the tube facing to the ground) when you push the button you will see that with a little bit of air there will be allot of liquid stuff.. that's liquid hydrogen (if i'm not wrong).
5. Turn off the phone (i used it with the phone still on.. but who knows what could happen, so just turn it off)
6. so i guess you know what i'm try to tell you.. horizontally face the tube in the space between the joystick and outer wall.. the liquid should penetrate well in to the inner of the phone .. do that 3 or 4 times..
i think it's kinda safe cuz it vaporizes very quickly
7. after you done that.. just do the usual dust off with air (vertically)
8. after that .. turn on you phone.. (duuuh) and the make a circle movement with the joystick.. do that couple times.. after that you should notice the difference .. otherwise keep the phone for a couple minutes in you pocket. (because of the strong temperature drop)
that's it.. maybe it will help you (maybe not) .. but it shour helped me*.. |

@shaliron
i guess youre right... but not quite... coz this one doesnt include dismantling the phone... so, its less work..
ciao!

yep this method will work for mild ingress of dust, but I would say that if you can't make much improvment with compressed air, move on to my method
But this is an excellent first thing to try before going onto dismantling the phone.

Are you sure its liquid hydrogen, cause that kinda exists at near 0K (-235C), just I'd be less worried bout teh joystick and more worried about my hand having dropped off and shattered on the floor! lol
Luckily, my K800 is still box-fresh, so give it a couple of months, and if need be, I study in labs, so I can just use liquid nitrogen...lol Remembering the thread about phone destruction
Cheers

hehe your thinking of liquid nitrogen which is -200C
I think the effect of compressed liquid causes it to become quite cool and a metal container helps but I'm not an expert on that but I dont record hydrogen being naturally cold. |

lol doesn't hydrogen explode on contact with air..? o_O |

Just blowing air on the joystick when moving to all directions works fine for me ;p |

I've now took my phone back to OČ for it to be repaired. the joystick got to a point where too much presure was needed for it to respond and for it to upset my thumb after using it. I thought I may as well use the garrantee but the only down side is the 7 - 14 day wait.
I reverted all the changed I made with Far and done a full Master reset so it was basicly how t was when I got it. but I noticed that a few things were missing from the file manager such as the demo tour video which I thought would have been replaced. |

Hi
The liquid that you said is not liquid hydrogen but liquid gas (liguid propan). You see my wife use to work in a factory with spray. They use liguid propane as propulsion. That is why in the instructions they say, ''never put it in fire even if it ends''
