Phone is R4A02
Bluetooth R3A01
Organiser R3B01
CDA R3B01

Only noticeable difference is faster response navigating around the functions.

I'm updating right now. Hopefully the other differences will become more apparent through use e.g. 'performance restarts'

Can anyone confirm that it's stable? The firmware before this new one solved a lot of issues, just don't want to flash it to the new one and have it be unstable again.

@chukster

I got the same versions, I thought it didn't update so i tried it again but with the same result, all my data was still there as well???

Tired 2 more time but this time the update utility gives me an "update error" after reaching the half point

You will experience such (slight) speed increase after any and all firmware reset, including online update or formatting the C: drive. It's simply a consequence of radically cleaning up the file system. It is noticeable whenever you used the phone for a while before resetting, even if you do a restore afterwards. As it is, it says nothing about the inherent features of the firmware installed.

It could be a great achievement if someone sets up and maintains a table with data like:
- rows for bugs
- columns for firmware versions
- cells for status like unknown, faulty, fixed.
The table could be managed by a honorable and knowledgeable member of esato (1 vote for masseur ), and made available for anyone to view at esato or another host if necessary. Of course this does not need to be restricted to the M600. It would be a unique and useful service.

Hello, I've tried to update my firmware but I've only got a PC at work and may not have paid attention to everything I should have done because I shouldn't be doing this at work... I downloaded the SE Updater software and followed the instructions after having chosen UK (being that I'm in Spain and the phone's not available here yet...), connected via USB cable that shipped with it. Once finished I disconnected and powered on my phone and I've still got R1A... I lost all my data for nothing... Can anyone please give me a step-by-step how they did it?

@adhussain

I had the same problem with the previous firmware, I had to do a Master Reset and all well back to normal. Alternatively try disabling predictive text and on-screen hand writting and virtual keyboard then reactive agin the ones you want and see if the problem goes away.
